Are you a fan of The Godfather? Considered one of the greatest films of all time, The Godfather, based on Mario Puzo’s best-selling 1969 novel, is a 1972 crime drama directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
The cast comprises some of Hollywood’s most famous actors. Some of the film’s stars include Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, and Sterling Hayden. They all did an incredible job portraying their characters and making this movie what it is today.
Who Is Vito Corleone
The film follows Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando), a mafia boss who oversees his New York City crime family from the shadows. While trying to maintain an image of respectability in public. As the families that make up the mafia in NYC interact, we see the rise and fall of power-hungry degenerates, ill-tempered authoritarians, and double-crossing misfits looking out for their best interests.
Who is Michael Corleone
As the film progresses, we see how Vito’s reluctant younger son Michael (Al Pacino) rises to power. As a result of Vito’s death, Michael takes the reins and becomes the ruthless leader of the family. The deceptive tactics they take to increase and keep their power go beyond the minds of many men. Not even family members are safe if you turn against the family.
