Writers Jim Sharman and Richard O’Brien based their film on the 1973 stage production of The Rocky Horror Picture show. They also drew much of their inspiration for the film from several 1950s B movies.

The film stars Tim Curry as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Susan Sarandon as Janet Weiss, Barry Bostwick as Brad Majors, Meatloaf (not the food, the singer), and Richard O’Brien as Riff Raff. Initial reviews of the film were negative, but Curry’s performance has been described by some critics as “one of the greatest performances in cinema history.”

The Film Is A Cult Classic

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a musical comedy horror film. It has become a cult classic for audiences across the globe, especially around Halloween. This is a time for theatergoers to dress up as characters in the film, talk back to the screen, sing, and throw things like cards and

The Film StoryLine 

The film begins with a couple whose car breaks down on a cold, rainy November night. While searching for help, the couple comes across a nearby castle. There they meet Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a cross-dressing, bisexual, mad scientist, and his cast of far-out companions. If you’re a fan, you know what happens next.
